Beach Days

The waves splash the shore

As I visit the Ice Cream Cart once more

As the smell of the wet sand creaps into my body

I gaze into the bar, and see men drinking hot toddies

I hear the seaguls chattering

as I see stares so flattering

As I gaze towards the people who are so, so thin

I feel the sun shone on my skin

I see sand castles being built

I laugh when it collapses, as I feel sudden guilt.
