Open lid.
If I would have words to say
about the things I should've said,
it would be that there really was
no other way
than to be free, alone, and defenseless--
When you are left with nothing
you start to see the things
that were there way before you started.
It is a whimsical feeling.
Rising from the embers,
you take deep breaths.
You are without company yet still,
you smile carelessly now.
Why does it feel like
you have all you need?

Refusal to mourn
Swallowing your gut,
You quietly stand up,
Though trembling, your sore legs,
Refuse to sit on this spot.
Feeling impassive and
Slightly fidgety,
Your heart begins to hurt,
And yet despite your calm facade
You felt emotions--
Way worse than when you said 'hello',
Or when you told the air 'goodbye'
Expecting to hear it whisper back,
But the air could be
as silent as the night
Or as the scorching sun,
And only bitter cold
Or ever raging heat
Could slap you in the face--
Or maybe nothingness--
To say, there were no traces left
Of you and the wall that formed--
But that too seems folly.
And there can only be
Blight wisdom in ambiguity.
The rain falls heavily on my doorway
The sounds reverberate the frame
It pricks countlessly against the cold roof
And refuses to stop until it finds a way in.
My house, a quiet shelter,
Has walls not made of wood
It proves to be impenetrable
Against storms and rains that brew.
But sometimes when it rains too hard
It floods and it becomes too cold,
And when the water lets itself in--
I stammer but refuse to go.
Persistent nudges on your gut
Like nails clawing on your heart
Like whispers that condemn inside your head-
Like words that do not go
Like tears that dare flow
Like stares that pierce your soul
Like hands-
On your neck
Gripping the exhilarating rope-
Your self hatred never shows
But clings to you wherever you go
Inside, where no one's allowed to go-
Inside, where its roots grow-
There, it lays its home.
.
I love you with all my heart
When you look so fondly at beauty.
When your voice muses silently,
That the air around you stops to breathe.
I love you with all my heart
When you place your heart on your hand
and fiddle music with words
composing a hymn in your tale.
I love you with all my heart
When you, in somber clarity,
look at the stars and skies above,
and talk to them in listless flight.
I love you with all my heart
When you stop to look around
To see if there is any l o v e,
you could ever give, with what you have.
I know you will grow to be
ever more soft, with ever-growing wit,
and yet still remain to be
As a child, full of love, full of gleam--
And It is why you are
so dear to me.
And to our friendship, eternally.
Always silent.
You seem to not see
The light in your eyes
How the air caresses you
And the leaves crinkle at your bay.
You seem to be naive
When your presence permeates
And the eyes that look coldly
Suddenly forget 'to-look-the-other-way'.
And yet you are
So sharp to notice
The flaws inside your skin
That you let crawl up on your sleeves.
But time is merciful,
And is patient,and silent,
It does not intend to tell
But gives you an hour-long gaze.
