A Journey of a Thousand Years
Thus I began a voyage afar
Thousands of years away in time
Seeping through a cosmic scar
I rolled in space like a dime
Over the hills and far away
Like feather of a dandelion
Upon a sea of winds did it sway
Like a fluttering flag in a rebellion
No bars of dungeon can enslave
A soul that has set itself free
Many of those who wander crave
They see and envy an aging tree
Then stumbled upon a temple somewhere
I dared in creep, to find some gods
And I was met with a familiar stare
That I had felt on many a roads
The walls of temple, made of mirrors
In which I saw a million eyes
Lighting struck by a wave of shivers
I found myself amidst the wise
There was a garden I came upon
Full of flowers and trees with fruit
I lay on grass, not quiet alone
Resting my head upon a root
Deep in maze of time I dwelt
And found myself amidst some men
Their words so pure, a heart could melt
I yearned for a piece of scroll and pen
[Wanderer]
A Kiss and a Scar
Everything in love is fair
Nothing is fair in rage and war
I wonder why men do not see?
A kiss is better than a scar
Hate and greed have blinded all
Darkness rules the hearts of men
Shadows lurk now frightening tall
It’s hard to spill the ink of pen
The night is filled with endless stars
Yet people see the dark and gloom
If we do not end our wish for wars
The world is set to fall for doom
Massacre of trees at will
Goes unseen by the blinded eye
Massive oceans full of spills
On a rock I saw a penguin cry
The axe than sinks in a trunk of tree
Brings hell to life that lives in it
The birds have nowhere else to flee
There are no trees left, to build a nest.
[Wanderer]
The Wingless Bird
A wing less bird in a cage of rust
Dreams of flight in to the wild
Far away from the smoke and dust
Towards a gentle country side
Until the feathers grow again
Or the cage to rust to ground
The mare of time shall gallop by
Leaving behind a bag of bones
So dream and wander while ye may
That which is free of chains and bars
Sleep at night and dream for day
When the wolf of the wild calls
Within the walls of a dungeon
A haunted whisper echoes in dark
“Burn me down when I die” it says
Then scatter me to the winds of north
There are some places I’ve seen
With the eyes of a wild Hawk
In to nature I’ve been
And smelt the smell of ageing rocks
We wrote our names on paper planes
And flew them off the roofs
When the rain came pouring down
We floated paper boats
It’s time to put the dreams
On the horse and gallop fast
As long as fortune gleams
As long as freedom lasts
[Wanderer]
Feathers of a Dandelion
Like feathers of a dandelion
Floating merrily in the air
The colors of the vale soon will change
Like a giant chameleon
September knocks at the doors
Waking up slumberous hearts
The scent of mountain breeze alights
The fearsome river roars
Soon the autumn will blow the horn
A golden mist shall fall
Each blade of grass to leaf to trees
Shall turn to gold and mourn
To those who fear the fall
And those who run from cold
Go make haste, run to south
Before there's a crystal wall
With feathers white the snow shall spread
Chimneys'll exhale the smoke
Logs in fire shall crack and hiss
Together we'll share our bread
Step outside and feel the frost
Running wild through the veins
Snowflakes melting on eyelids
Close your eyes, and feel lost
[Wanderer]
