The Tragic Circle
It was all just a tragic circle. Those were his last thoughts before he closed his eyes for the last time. He had been an amazing man, done amazing things, but in the end he was just one of many who would eventually be forgotten with time. A long and hard fought war had birthed a generation of men like him, men worth honoring, but as time passed the fruits of victory bore another generation of men completely different. These men were greedy, self-centered and had no idea of true hardship, or true loss. Many years passed and the men with no memory of war or grief brought the world into a new war with new tragedy and new dreams filled with death. The people born into this time lost many and learned the true meaning of strength and they fought and died to allow their children and their friend’s children to never have to know the loss of war and the struggle of watching those you love die around you. Their success brought good times which created easy times where men with considerably less morals took advantage of those around them and everyone eventually forgot lessons you learn from war. Good men became few and far between and bad men were in abundance bringing about more troubles, increased suffering, and yet another war with great fatalities. Thus the tragic cycle began again and the good men and the bad mixed together over time as everyone lost what they once had.
