Compare These, Please
So, I was challenged to submit my work and match it against someone else's. One stanza is my own, and the other was written by someone else. The only thing I'm asking for is that you choose the stanza you like the most and tell me why. Thanks in advance! Brutal honesty, please!

Stanza 1:
You had a lot of dreams that transform to visions,
The fact that you saw the world affected all your decisions,
But it wasn't your fault, wasn't in your intentions,
To be the one here talking to me, be the one listening,
But I admire your poppin' bottles and dipping,
Just as much as you admire bar-tending and stripping,
Baby, so don't be mad, nobody else tripping,
You see a lot of crooks and the crooks still crook,
You see you had a lot of crooks try to steal your heart,
Never really had luck, couldn't never figure out,
How to love...
Stanza 2:
I see you got them dreams,
That look in your eye, the way that it gleams,
But the world's got traps, it's got games,
And you're not ever told the rules, the way that it's played.
The way that ya smile brings me up,
The sunshine of love, like a newborn pup,
You give me the hope and the courage
To fill up my cup.
But you gotta stick with it, there's no other way,
Tomorrow the grass will be greener,
It's another day.
Look to the future with them bright eyes,
It may not be smooth sailing, but there's always brighter skies.
Come with me and I'll shelter you during times of rain,
I'll hold your hand during the dark and the pain,
Show you all the things you've been deprived of,
Like how to love...
