Twenty-Four Hours
Twenty-Four hours to say goodbye,
Not enough time before I die,
Go run over to the house of my mom,
Insides churning, practically a time-bomb,
I'd catch my sisters doing whatever they do,
Give them a hug and see that they're not blue,
I'd pet my cat and pass a soccer ball with my dad,
I'll tell the world I love them, even when they make me mad,
Pray to God that no one would catch on,
Pray to God they don't know I'm about to be gone,
Listen to the songs that changed my life,
While beautifully ruining sacred memories with a knife,
Old journal and photos where private thought flee,
After I'm dead my family shouldn't find a different me,
Twenty-Four Hours almost at an end,
I'll kneel on my knees and pray that God mend,
Hearts and souls of everyone's coming pain,
No longer on Earth, but rather Heaven's Gain.
