Challenge
If one were to have a conversation with the devil, how would it go?
Moment by Precious Moment
“you can not have my heart.”
we fell apart, full shadowed in exertions hue
but oh, I knew
this would not be the last.
he whispered close,
“But dear, I will.
No other heart will do.”
Then I looked back, with love and sorrow.
he did not seem to know that all his
strength was borrowed
from One who claimed my heart
so long ago – and his heart too.
Though he rebelled in pride,
still at his side I could
not abide to follow.
he then withdrew,
to tempt another day,
when blue and battered spirit
left opening on cue.
