My Dream Home
White bricks and black, gabled roofing
A rooftop that I can dance on - like my favorite book
Venturing through black doors
A rustic facade to match my soul
A chimney to send the evil away
A fireplace made of stone to keep us warm with love
Two floors with a balcony
Something I've never had
Wooden stairs with gold-colored railing
To keep my children safe
White concrete driveway
With cracks to match my flaws
Painted walls
Each room a different color - One for everyone
My husband's own recording room
So that I can listen to his music while I do the dishes
My own bookshelf where all my favorites will go
Filling up every spot - filling my heart
The en suite master for my love & I
A window sill that I can sit in, read in, think in
Looking up at the stars when insomnia captures me
A pastel curtain swaying with the wind
The King's bed shall be gray & brown pillows with a black duvet
Comfortable & soft for my love & I
The baronial halls shall document our lives
With photos all along the path
Our two beautiful children smiling
Wanting to jump in the pool that I so long for
With a backyard as big as the mind of a writer
A trampoline and a horse stable
Grass, sprinklers, a playground
For my babies to run in
Then, soon resting on the nude-colored couch on Sundays
For it is the Lord's Day as shown by the crucifix high on the wall
Wishing to be blessed with goodness
For we shall be a happy family in our perfect home
A spacious kitchen with gray-marbled counters and black, wooden cabinets
Where dreams will be thought, love will be shared
Memories will be made and knowledge will be taught
