Challenge
Lets shed some reality on mental illness. It's not cute, it's not a joke and it's not an excuse:
Write about a panic or anxiety attack.
I'd love to see poetry, short stories and glimpses into who you are.
Flesh Wound
In
But it's not quite right,
Too quick and shallow,
Chest feels hollow,
And everything is too loud.
Just an over reaction,
Why not just stay calm,
It was a simple touch
Not meant to cause harm
Out
But it still burns on flesh,
Too unexpected,
Wouldn't move when rejected,
And dug in deeper
In
Feel dirty
Need to leave and
They're staring at me
Stiff
Want to move
Can't bring it to be
Out
Too shaky
Where's safety?
Just want somewhere private.
In
Nowhere
Just run
Find the closest thing
Out
But outside is too much
In
And inside is too full
Out
These eyes on me are heavy
In
This all is cruel
Out
Just want it
In
To stop
Out
Please
In
Just
