Melody and Moan
Crystal diamonds rolled down her rosy cheeks
So roses kneeled their heads and withered
Glasses shattered and her heart was moaning in a moan
Her grief gathered the clouds from above and within
An orchestra began to sing, the thunderstorm
sent to her ears a nocturne echo
Her mind cried and whispered pianissimo to her heart
"O, what a fool I am to fall in love like that!"
She sang the soft sad melody to the moon's rictus
"O, what kind of remedy cures love?"
She weeped her galaxies out
And the skies' stars radiated outraged phosphorescence
The trees were poltergeists by then
They moved and noised the grotesque city
And the craters were boiling just like her heart's anger
She shifted the world's creations with one rain drop
A myth to the mundanes' minds they say
Yet, those clouds never tiptoed away
