Kara Sevde
You are the flower blooming
Through a blanket of snow.
You are the first note of a bird's song
In the grey cast of morning light.
You are the first star that dares to twinkle
In the dark blanket of night.
You are the first sip of water
After years in a desolate dessert.
But, you are also the air,
That my lungs will suffocate without.
And, you are the sun,
That manages to shine in my darkness.
But, you're light has made my eyes burn.
And, I am afraid that I have gone blind.
