Stay awake dear sun

do not sleep tonight

all is not equal

in dark and in light,

do not hide your rays

at the closing of day

your comforts are stripped

when you steal away,

though moonshine pierce through

tis' not quite the same

darkness proves terror

and fear have a name,

show yourself worthy

as king of the skies

cast out the darkness

compel it to die.
