When We Were Venus and Mars

This is written for a past love. A recollection of a night when we gazed upon this natural wonder.

As the two planets intersect at this point in time, we too intersect at this moment in the universe.

Both solitary, with purpose, and exclusive from one another. They come together to inspire, igniting passion and wonder.

Perhaps that is their purpose, to entwine and interrupt their employed lives. Forcing a mesh of feelings and emotions that would otherwise lie dormant.

As Venus and Mars intersect at this instant in time, we too collide, body and soul.
