Galloping By

”If wishes were horses, beggars would ride"

but silver spoon fell out of their mouth,

scraping skin and dashing all hope.

Luck won’t happen unless action taken,

horses untamed, riding all directions.

Beggars can’t ride, busy begging money

holding out hands, they want it free.

But how did I obtain money you solicit?

I sharpened skills and saved dollars.

I bought own horse, saddled up and rode.

But you’re still sitting listless on curb

waiting for black stallion, galloping by.
