Challenge
Black-out poetry! Take a page from a book, newspaper, magazine, etc., copy it, and black out words, leaving only those that you want to use in your poem. I know Prosers don't need this, but it's called a "cure for writer's block"! I was skeptical at first, but it's fun. Nine and Seven
The bodies of nine and seven,
Killed in a militant attack.
Searched for clues,
Masterminds of the gruesome attack left 28 dead.
Boxes covered with white cloth,
Lowered slowly in pairs.
Lined up on the tarmac.
Officials laid bouquets between the boxes.
Somber ceremony played out,
Flag-draped coffins.
Nine Italians.
Priest blessed them.
Relatives of the dead,
Weeping or clutching loved ones.
Approached the coffins,
To bid farewell.
