The Prose Universe Part 8
Colonel Stuart J. Warren of the Revolutionary Army was second in command of General Chambers troops. General Chambers and Colonel Warren had decided to split up the troops into two groups. Thanks to Mnezz and Mtrubenfire, they knew exactly where General Jumotki and her troops were located. Splitting the group in two would allow them to surround General Jumotki and attack her from two fronts. General Jumotki thought she had the jump on them, but in reality, they had the jump on her. However, that didn’t mean this battle would be easy. Jumotki has fought against 200 men armed with swords using only her hands as weapons and had won the battle. Jumotki was deadly. Many troops would die in this battle. Colonel Warren and General Chambers each had about 5,000 troops making it 10,000 in total. General Jumotki had about 12,000 troops.

Agent 17 was a spy for the Empire. Unbeknownst to Fauxhero or Sandflea68, 17 had watched their battle in the Dragon Forest. 17 knew Mnezz and Mtrubenfire would tell General Chambers about the surprise attack. Agent 17 had told General Jumotki that it was likely General Chambers knew of the surprise attack later that night. General Jumotki had thought splitting the troops was the best thing to do. General Chambers might try to ambush her on two fronts forcing her onto the defensive and allow him to remain on the offensive the entire battle. Things would go south far too quickly. So she and Colonel Keith Baucum, her second in command, had split the troops with each having about 6,000. They would meet General Chamber’s forces and destroy them.

Mr. Syne, Ms. Ruby Pond, and Steve Scott were with General Chambers. AlSalehi, Nyxnight, and Trueblood had gone with Colonel Warren, who would later become the first Deputy Secretary of War. Ms. Pond, Mr. Syne, and Steve were near the back end of General Chambers forces, marching through the forest. Mr. Syne was scared of going into battle but put on a brave face. He didn’t want the others calling him a chicken. Steve Scott was scared that he and the others may have to live the rest of their lives in the past. He currently had no way of making a time machine. Many of the tools he would need would not be invented for several hundred years. How was he suppose to make a time machine that would get them home? he thought. “Steve”, said Ms. Pond. “Yes, Ma’am”, said Steve. “Before we traveled to the past you were running down the aisle screaming that you had lost control of the machine. How exactly did you lose control?”, said Ms. Pond Mr. syne looked at Steve. “I would like to know the answer to that as well”, said Mr. Syne. “Well...you see,” Steve said nervously. Just then an arrow flew by Steve’s head. General Chambers and General Jumotki’s armies had finally met each other. Troops from both sides had charged at the other. Arrows flying all over the place.
