Challenge
Raindrops were splattered on my window that day...
Run
Run from water’s bluster
raindrops splattered on window
heavens melting in stinging rays
crushed dreams under feet
shattered hopes in serrated lines
Run from striking thoughts of dying
drip and pulse of agony
liquefied grief in rivulets
pouring hurt from heights
frozen water shattered like glass
Run from drilling of watery canvas
cold and vacant reminders of you
reverberations of your absence
uniting in a single puddle
damp fingers on raw mirrors.
