I use to miss the way you taste but now my tongue turns sour at the memory of you. You...
This isn’t what you think
I used to miss the way you taste but now my tongue turns sour at the memory of you. The first time I saw you, you looked sugary sweet and wonderful. I was young and vulnerable to such things, and I couldn't get enough. But over the years, I had you less and less until you slowly faded away.
Years later, as an older person, I run across you once again at the convenience store. Your lemony yellow aura drew me in, and I had to try you just once again.
You were not what I thought you would be. I had outgrown your sugar. The sour taste that arrives with it is appalling. Your body is sticky and disgusting.
I scrunch up my nose in disgust.
Well, that's the last time I will ever have a lemon sour patch kid.
