A mirror of Stardust
Stars, millions of them, in the sky like scattered diamonds. They sparkled as she looked up at the decorated black veil, giving life to the void. Most of them clumped and erupted from behind small rock formations in the distance, there were some that were thrown farther away from the large cluster and faded away as they moved almost outside of human comprehension. The colors were another sight of pure grace, birthstone-blues, sequin-silver, molten-gold, polar-white, solar-yellow...all beautifully blended.
She looked down to be met with the exact same picture but with each step she took small ripples came and warped, but only for a moment. As she kept walking her steps become more agile, the ripples becoming larger as the snappy water splashed around her. It wasn't long before the girl broke into a full run, more and more as she dashed across the thin layer of water that had pooled on the salt flats below. It was all so amazing, she felt as though she could feel safe from the stars above her, like lost souls guiding her along this harmonious dream and herself being their one beacon of hope. She slowed before coming to a stop and looked up, a small smile forming as wintry wind brushed pass her pale face, to be here forever...blessed with stars...was something she wanted. Wanting to feel free and alive, this was it. So she did, she danced along the water, water which reflected this dream, a mirror of stardust.
