Snow angel
The rimy wind whispered through out the forest, everest tree branches shivering under thier blanket of snow as more sprinkled on top. Everything was covered in white, bushes, logs, the smallest of leaves, the only thing not hooded was the dirt path that ran through the entire forest. It was thin, wide enough for may three people to stand next to eachother on, it had iced over in some parts but for the most part it was just damp. Walking down it was like a winter dream as the tall everest trees stood tiredly beside it and watched over any travlers crossing through their lands. It was snowing lightly as a young man, Jason, trudged down the path with a large sack of hay thrown over his shoulder and a hunting rifle strapped to the back of his left shoulder. He was well built, 6'3 with broad shoulders. He had dark brown hair which had been styled into a man bun and a go-t which shaped his chisled jaw, his eyes were a unique gold colour which qalmost seem to glow as the suns light beams reached for him through the trees. He was wearing a long-sleeve, red-plaid flannel, a pair of regular blue jeans, black, heavy caulk boats, and a blue parka. Jason continued down his path until he came upon a split in the path, if he took the right it would lead him back to his home but if he took the left well...he wasn't to sure. He had never taken that path before and was always curious about it, within a quick moment he threw the bag of hay into a tree and took the unfamiliar path.
It seemed to grow more quiet, even the sound of his steps seemed to become non-exsistent. He treked forward until he came upon a large clearing, it was circled by giant everest trees and covered completely in noting but snow, a winter wonderland. As he walked out towars the middle of clearing he noticed a snow angel, it was around the size of a small childs, maybe someone else comes out here? As he inspected it more he noticed how there were no other tracks in the snow and the angel looked like it had only been made not too long ago, it hadn't been snowing long enough for any tracks to be covered. Jason squated down and ran an hand over the edge of the imprint until a small chuckle came from behind him causing him to shoot up and turn to a female, the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. She was tall and lean, he could only see part of her face but that was all he needed to see as his heart was banging around in his chest. She had pale skin and ice-blue, monolid eyes, short, silver-mint hair which was currently tucked into her knit-turtle neck sweater tht covered the the bottom half of her face. He stared before quicly shaking his head and speaking, stumbling over his words.
"H-hi...how a-are ya?" She smiled softly behind her sweater and spoke with a silvery tone.
"I'm doing just fine, how are you?"
"G-good...good..."
Jason only stuttered more as he spoke, trying desperately to calm himself down. "I-So...I'm Jason, you are?"
"My name is Decima."
"Heh, Decima. That's beautiful." Decima and Jason continued to talk for hours, non-stop, they didn't want to stop. As it got colder she sighed and looked up, the sun was going down and now she had to leave, Jason looked at her confused and took a hold of her hand gently. "Are you ok?" She sighed and looked at him, squeezing his large hand and shaking her head. "No...I must leave now." He frowned but nodded, still not letting go of her. "Well, do you wanna meet here tommorow? I can come anytime you're available." Decima gave a sad smile and shook her head, becoming even more doleful as the wind began to pick up more. "Sadly, I can not come again tommorow, nor can I come come for the rest of the year." Jason looked down at her and grimaced, his hold on her hand becoming stronger as he gently caressed her supple cheek. "W-what? What do you mean? For the rest of the year?" The female nodded and leaned into his touch.
"Yes, I am sorry. But I must leave now-"
"Wait! Is there anyway to contact you? Where are you going?"
"No...there is no way to and I'm going back to my home."
She began to tear up, the wind becoming stronger and picking up more and more snow as she seemede to be disappearing with it, her body starting to turn into snow and drifting away. Jason didn't know what was going on, but he didn't want her to go, he felt her hand dissapate into small, white particles. "What!? W-wait! Don't leave, what is happening?!"
"Thank you, Jason. I'll be here next winter, waiting for you. Please, don't forget me."
Before Jason could say anything else, she was gone. Decimas face blowing away like the rest of her as he began to tear up, the wind blowing them away. Like that, She was gone and Jason was left alone, confused, scared, lost...He turned to where the snow angle was and noticed it was gone, a low whisper brushing pass his ears.
"I love you."
Jason felt a small smile form as he looked up towards the sky, gripping his chest and chuckling softly, the wind began to die down as he sighed and more tears fell.
"I love you too, my precious snow angel."
