We’ll be alone together
On top of the cliff sat a drear-looking school house, longing for the suns rays to press down and warm his taint walls. Its counter-part slumped next to him, which was once a white and shameless bus was now windowless and rusted, her large wheels had been taken away and the gleaming, silver bumber was striped off with the rest of her pride. They had both been left and to be quite honest...it was horrific, like something out of a horror story. They felt so alone, so empty, so useless.
How long had it been since they heard the laugh of a child? How long had it been since he heard the soft scratching of fresh chalk against the dirty green boards? How long had it been since she heard the sound of other cars driving by her and the cranky driver yelling at the energetic children on the bus to quiet down? How long had it been since they've seen the smiling faces that melted their now crestfallen hearts?
It had been too long, too long indeed and now they rot together. Not even a small bird or bug had come to say hello, not a single living thing. All they had were each other, alone together.
