Define Love
I have never been fond of multiple choice, and yet, that's the kind of life we always seem to be bleeding... As vulgar as it seems, this is in fact how it is that I have arrived at my definition of Love. The question of the ages, with the clock ticking, and me sittin' biting my nails over every option given.
(A, B, C... I believe I'll self-detonate without a shot of turning something in.)
Option A says Love is a Thing, a highly desirable philosophical Ideal; an abstract Idea...
Option B says Love is a Person, the one with a chest like an infinite wood burning stove...
Option C says Love is a Place, a warm familiar haunt that calls and beacons like home...
What to do?! In the name of Love, I close my eyes, and cross my heart, and I...
Circle All of the Above!
...and as I'm poised to sign my name to the page, I have a certain doubt. I'm not sure if I'm in... or if I'm out? Time is nigh and I have the sensation of Falling, fearing that I am doomed to pass out in the course of this Exam... Then suddenly, it's like the answer is in my hand. There in the margin, beyond the question box, I sense some kind of room for rational redemption and I scratch in red (so the proctor will not miss my addendum), in my own haphazard words:
—all of these and none of these! the only actionable source of Love, is here... inside Yours Truly... as a Verb... the defined true Love, so in search of... (not me, for me)... but for all...
...to See.. to Be... A Love... for the World
