Behind Closed Doors Pt. 1
We lie down, connected by earphones. Enveloped by darkness, by music.
She tells me, “close your eyes.”
-----------------------------------------“why?”
-------------------------------------------------“just do it.”
“…”
“…”
“…”
“what do you see?” she breaks the silence.
“nothing.”
----------- “What colors do you see?”
---------------------------------------------“darkness”
-------------------------------------------------------“Color”
“...”
“...”
“Dark Red… faint gray… and white.”
She gently covers my eyes with her hand. Her touch startled me because I softly shivered. She asks, “How about now?”
“Black… a blob that faintly flashes gray and white.”
She uncovers my eyes. I still feel the faint warmth of her touch.
She tells me, “Rub your eyes.”
I rub them.
“what do you see?”
“... a swirl… swirls… swirls of checkboards…”
“rub harder”
As I rub harder, I tell her what I see, “white...white with random black shapes.”
“What do the shapes remind you of?”
“...”
“You can tell me.”
“a closed door.”
