This Imagination of Mine

My imagination,

Is a lonely place,

Inside my head,

Inside of me.

It is a world itself,

I barely dare,

To tread,

In that place.

My imagination makes,

Everything real,

Everything possible,

Everyone different.

The place is full of terror,

It feeds on fear,

The main constant,

In our lives.

I try to take a step back,

Shut off my imagination,

Just for a moment.

Everything becomes,

Better,

Safer,

Happier.

It is in this place,

Where my lonesomeness,

Is born.

This is where I realized,

How alone I am,

And always will be.

It shows me possibilities,

Hopes and dreams,

Happiness and success,

In this life I am stuck in.

It shows how I do not have,

To be lonely,

Or forgotten.

But mostly it shows me,

The truth,

No matter how ugly.

This imagination reminds me,

That I am and will always be,

Lonely.
