In the world of psychology there are three predictable ways that people respond to stress. Fight, flight, and the least known, freeze. I am someone who encounters all of these on a day to day basis.
I am a person with anxiety, I have learned to tone it down but it still hinders me. The other day there was a fight in my small one-classroom school. I ran out the door, flight. That same day, a girl threatened my friends and I, I froze, stuck thinking if I did something things would get worse. Now fight, fight is a rare one for me. But it does happen. If someone touches me without me expecting it, I kick and punch, fight.
Although I don't encounter these as often as I used too, I still deal with at least one of these things a day.
