The eye of the beholder
“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
Every trail that we reach in our lives is nothing good nor evil, not bad nor good, not right nor wrong. It is what it is until we reach out and handle it with such beauty and grace that only the feeling of deep raging passion is left. Until we can face each dragon and admit that her beauty compares to that of an angelic princess only then can we get past the beastly appearance so that trial can blossom into hope and love.
That the the lesson of life I have learned.
