Why the Moon circles the Earth.
The Sun and Moon had been lovers since the beginning. The boiling hot, energic Sun had provided comfort to the ice cold and aloof Moon. They protected each other from the feelings of loneliness, isolation, and fear. Their love was the talk of the cosmos. The rest of universe was filled with envy. However, as time wore on, the energic personality of the Sun began to annoy the Moon more and more. The Moon soon developed a crush on a distant star. One that seemed just as cold and distant as the Moon. One that was younger and shone more bightly.
One day the Sun went searching for the Moon. The Sun found the Moon dancing with another star! The Sun was filled with feelings of betrayal, anger, and sadness. The Moon wanted to talk to the Sun, but the Sun didn’t want to listen. So now, the Moon circles the Earth waiting for the Sun to calm down. Hoping to one day earn the Sun’s forgiveness. So they could dance together once again. Just like they did in the beginning when it was them against the cosmos.
