Writer’s Block

You think you are cursed

with your writer’s block.

You say you can’t write

without the proper inspiration.

In my case,

I write to find the inspiration

necessary to live through the curse forever on my heels.

Her ghost,

my depression,

my anxiety,

my fear.

They try to pull me down

with intention to put me

6 feet under.

One day

I will break these chains.

Until then writer’s block

isn’t an option.

I must live.
