Write a Villanelle
A villanelle is a nineteen-line poem with two repeating rhymes and two refrains. The form is made up of five tercets followed by a quatrain. The first and third lines of the opening tercet are repeated alternately in the last lines of the succeeding stanzas; then in the final stanza, the refrain serves as the poem’s two concluding lines. (Ex. Dylan Thomas's "Do not go gentle into that goodnight")

Has There Ever Been A Day
Has there ever been a day?
Where sunshine feels like forever;
darkness doesn’t feel evil.
When light would fill your being,
and the soul seems to lives on and on;
has there ever been a day?
Time tests us all.
No timeframe ever mentioned,
where sunshine feels like forever.
We plod, tred down our road,
searching, sometimes finding our way;
has there ever been a day?
Even I, portending greatness,
see this life as a mystery;
darkness doesn’t feel evil.
Such are the thoughts,
rambled on by both young and old.
Has there ever been a day,
darkness doesn’t feel evil?
