seem busy or distracted but

never think that you aren’t

on my mind

Or that when I’m rushing

around preoccupied by

the burning fire I’m putting

out that you are forgotten

Etched in my soul is

the first time we held hands

and the first time we kissed

that those memories are like water

to my undying thirst for you

Burned into my soul is

this fire that can not be squelched

or unending desire that burns for you

after all of these years
