Beads of sweat

Shifting eyes

Cannot rest

A ghost in the night

A shadow in the dark

Hiding in the bushel

A candle with no spark

Sleuthing through the branches

Beady eyes shining through the leaves

Crunching under the weight

Of feather-like feet

Breath uneasy

Hands clammy

Kinda jumpy

Heart unsteady

Mind reeling

A runaway train

Close call

Duck lower, hide the shame

Invisible, if only

Unseen, definitely

For her advantage? Tonight, maybe
