Crying Again

Crying again, translucent tears

Streaming down scarlet flushed cheeks

Eyes bulging, ringed in ruddy red

Midnight hair, tousled and ragged

Quivering voice, quiet with pain

Clear evidence of what has occurred

Once again, just another night

Of broken hopes, shattered dreams

Yet another night

Of uncomfortable silence
