Dreams Fly By

"No, I was really flying!

You know I'm not lying."

That was the last thing I ever told my friends.

Now they wait for me to make amends.

But it's true.

I really flew.

I don't know why

I could fly.

All I know is I have magic.

For good, or bad, or maybe tragic.

I know flying did not get a joyful squeal,

for I know it was a scary ordeal.

So I search, and what do I find?

I learn that I'm an alien of some kind.

But minds come up with crazy things when they sleep,

so theres no reason to cry or weep.
