Sitting
I had an idea... an anthology about babysitting. I know. It seems boring. But, that's where your imagination steps in. The babysitter secretly a monster. Or, maybe the kid is. Or, maybe the family is. Or, maybe the house is? Or, the pet dog? Or, maybe it isn't a horror flick. What if the kid opens up a mystical world of fairies that no one knows about? Or, what if intruders just so happen to rob the house while the babysitter's there? There are many places you can take it. I'd love to hear all your ideas. Poetry or Prose. Two dollar fee. Quintuple your money if you win! (Keeping the story PG-13 or below gives you a good chance ;] ) God bless, and happy writing! (or sad writing, or scary writing)
The truth is not mac and cheese
The kid knows everything, beware.
He’ll trip you, if he’s a mind to,
He we’ll correct your calculus,
if you bait him just right,
He knows the names of all the stars,
He knows the entire body of literature,
He grows strange things in his science kit,
He hides outrageous devices for future use,
He is wise beyond words,
He is clever above us all,
His ambitious desires,
His magnanimous gestures,
All that,
I’m out of my depth!!
All i know is that total truth of everything,
Despite his insistence,
Is not cryptic pattetns that he finds,
In warmed up mac and cheese!
