Barbara.
Here I thought Stan would have made things go smoothly for us. Seriously, how could he leave just like that?
Chris felt someone tap him on the shoulder. ‘‘Excuse me- do you mind giving me directions to the lobby.’’
He was lost for words. She was a goddess. Her hair seemed to be blowing in a charming way, but there was no wind. It must have been all in his head.
‘‘Hi...eh- I can help you. The name’s Martin. Chris Martin,’’ he said and then took a bow. The woman chuckled.
‘‘I’m Barbara. My friends also like to call me Barb, or Ara,’’ she told him while he escorted her to the lobby.
When they got there, she checked in and he asked her if she needed help with her bags. She smiled at her knight in shining armour.
Barbara: Are you here on business? If you don’t mind I was also wondering if you came alone.
Chris: (smiles) Ah, sort of. I came with my darling Stan. He got mad with me for my supposed unprofessional behavior. You know what, it’s his loss. I am not going to let him think I’ll be sad, and lonely without him.
Barbara: I’m sorry. I was curious what a dashing guy was doing all by himself. I guess this is me. Thanks for helping me with my bags.
Chris: Sure. No problem.
Barbara grabs her key and unlocks the door. She watches Chris slowly wave and bid adieu.
Chris turns around when he hears Barbara whisper his name. She asks him if he’d like to come in.
Barbara: It’s all right if you are busy and have to leave.
Chris: Thanks, Barb.
Barbara places her bag next to her bed, while Chris goes to check what’s in the fridge. He grabs two bottles of Mosi Lager.
Barbara: (stretches her arms) I feel so exhausted.
Chris: Would you like a Mosi?
Barbara: Sure.
The two clink their bottles and enjoy the taste of the cold beer. Chris sits down on the bed and smirks.
Barbara turns to face Chris and feels like she’s in a different world. She gets lost gazing in his hazel eyes.
She snaps back to the moment when a pair of hands are massaging her neck. Barbara leans back and relaxes.
Chris: (gently) Let me help relieve your stress, my dear Barb.
Her guest slowly then kisses her neck, and Barb closes her eyes. She takes in a slow, deep breath. When she opens her eyes, she moves closer to Chris.
Their noses brush and Barb kisses Chris. His hands assist her in helping her out of her suit: the jacket is tossed onto the carpet, she kicks her heels off her feet, and he helps her with removing her blouse.
Her hair moves and covers the right side of her face. Chris brushes it back behind her ear.
Barbara then rips Chris’ shirt. He gulps, as she pushes forward and causes him to fall on the bed.
Chris: Uh, Barb. Hey, well, I am glad you invited me in.
Barb: (chuckles) Shall we get back to business Mr. Martin?
Chris: (grins) Why, of course Ms. Ara.
Barbara unbuckles Chris’ belt. He pulls Ms. Ara on top of him and then whispers in her ear. ‘‘I have nothing to do for the rest of my evening. Whatever you need, let me know.’’
Barb hugs Chris tight. ‘‘I only want one thing Chris- for you to make love to me all night.’’
