a summer spent in a tangle of bedsheets.
an autumn spent in the dwindle of tears.
a winter spent in the memory of you.
a summer of peaches and poems,
a moon of parties and pianos.
i told you my name, and you called it yours.
you told me yours, and it became mine.
i'll savour the feeling of losing you,
drowning in my memory of you.
right here, in the warmth of the winter fireplace.
