Goodnight Sun

Does the sun go to sleep

when the night comes to keep?

Does it turn off its bright

for a starry night light?

Does it sleep on cloudy pillow

cuddling a plush armadillo?

When the night comes to keep,

One hundred things leap,

before returning to Little Bo-Peep.

The sun counts all the sheep

and only then does it sleep.
