The butterfly effect.

One day somewhere out there, a butterfly flapped its wings,

flying into the path of a puppy, who chased it round and round in rings.

The puppy untrained and full of joy, jumped right onto a busy highway,

the speeding cars had no time to react, but one swerved quickly anyway.

The lady driving the red Toyota, was beautiful, carrying her first child,

when the surgeon held her dying hand, he saw a soul at peace and mild.

The surgeon carried the guilt, driven mad he wandered the streets,

he muttered words incomprehensible, to whomever he should meet.

When the officers found his dead body, they just couldn't understand,

why a note with a butterfly picture, was found clutched in the surgeon's hand.
