Another Dawn
Sleep eludes and aches unravel.
It’s almost dawn and still no entrance
To that ever-elusive realm.
Traveling pain always comes with the rain.
Overflowing waterbeds making new little streams.
The land still resisting human will.
My dying heart aching to be filled.
Love turned bitter or doesn’t have a taste.
Stinging emptiness with longing for purpose.
Make me want to dream again,
Of days gone past and of new days to come
Where memories don’t seem as brittle as glass.
Sleep continues to elude.
My thoughts,
becomes sadly crude.
Terror will ensue
When dreams
Are in que.
