I didn’t mean to let the water to get to me so easily

I didn't mean to let everyone get ahead of me

I didn’t mean for the world to stop spinning so suddenly

I didn’t mean “maybe” when I said I wanted a life

I didn't mean to lie when I said I was fine

I didn't mean to bring the sarcastic comments along for the ride

I didn’t mean for the wind to leave the sky

I didn’t mean for the water to rise.
