Vessel
I am full of empty silences.
A vessel hollowed out and cracked.
Taken and broken.
Left to wallow in the dark.
I am an awkward space.
Clumsy in my gestures,
Shy in my gait.
Learning how to live in a world
Full of hate.
Given the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Told its to late.
Cause the world is the world
And I can't change its fate.
I am the glass.
Half empty half full.
Treated like a masterpiece,
Or someone else's stool.
I am one in 7 billion.
Unique but still a clone.
I convey what my brain tells me too,
Cause it won't leave me alone.
Look at what we are.
A species broken but whole.
Living with our souls locked up.
It's time we take control.
