Extensions

I want to scream at the ocean,

turn the tumbling waves,

dark monsters

dancing

at the edge

of the sand,

into

subdued foam.

I want to clap my hands,

send trees crashing

down

colliding with the earth,

split trunks,

shards of wood,

leaves crushed

and spilling

chlorophyll

onto the

ground.

I want for my whispers

to crack stone

revealing blood

colored crystals

underneath a

grainy cloak.

I want for the tight vessel

of my knit together

fingers

to turn

coal into

diamonds

twinkling stars

glowing

and

glittering

on my

palms.

I want my tears

to rip the sky

apart

to reveal

what hides

behind

that dreadful

expanse of

blue.

I want control.
