I stared into his bright blue eyes, memorizing how they always sparkle with electricity. He reached up to my face and wiped a tear from my cheek. I lowered my lips onto his and we slowly shared one last kiss. Memories flooded my head. Our nightly walks next to the glistening lake. Our first kiss under the stars. How he held me as I sobbed after my mother’s funeral.

“I love you,” he gasped. I pulled back and brushed some stray strands of hair from his pale face.
