Doom
Talks of love and goals on dead city blocks,
Raised two streets down from poverty’s ill grip,
Pastel epochs, simple living kills clocks,
Extinct existence exhausts, soon they’ll slip
Down to static drudge, cheap pay, falling stocks,
Political warfare,rushing starships,
Out of my hands this world plummets quickly
Vows of a better life, this hell sickly.
Passion waves and nothing else, out they go
Rejecting truth, once in mind stars turn blue,
Coffee less potent, days longer, just know
I am not your tormentor, silver hue
Burns through daylight, metallic Romeo
Shouts from above, killer glare she drew,
Mademoiselle tell me your name, off she went
Through masking smoke, nothing left but her scent.
Youth, nothing more than casualties today
Grey atmosphere disunites, gargoyle
Eyes scrutinize anxious fools gone astray,
Religious Doom, consume to sleep, life’s soil
Pure self loathing and a dash of dismay,
Flickering Noir City, tales of my turmoil,
Call it nightly ruin, my life’s blood gone cold,
Winds roar, snub nose melts sleet, lost dreams, tale told.
