Arm Wrestling
It started the moment the needle went into my left arm.
I sat there waiting while Desi went in to get her vaccination. My arm itched to the point of annoyance. Luckily that only last for a minute, then it was fine. Or so I thought. We stopped and bought cheesesteaks for lunch, then headed home.
It was probably around 1:00 in the afternoon when I started noticing the side effects. My arm started itching again. Itching profusely. I tried not to scratch, but it was so unbearable. I decided to perhaps rub it rather than scratching. That's when I noticed the warm lump that began spreading down my arm. Then my arm became hot and inflamed. I knew a trip to the ER was in order. Desi immediately got on the phone to 911 but before she could dial, it was too late. My arm fell to the floor and started flopping around. Desi just stared at it dumbfounded, but then screamed when the arm jumped up and grabbed my leg, trying to pull me down to the floor and attacked me. I tried to struggle with the arm but it was just too wild. Desi was sitting there getting frantic as she watched the ordeal. The wild hand suddenly grabbed me by the throat. Desi yelped and woke up. She looked at the time on her iPhone, sighing, relieved that it was just a dream...
Or was it?
She closed her eyes to try to get back to sleep when I shift. She opened her eyes to see my arm going across her torso. And she screamed!
The arm wasn't attached to me.
