Unsteady Love
So was your love real
Or was it pretend?
Has the love we had
Come to the end?
You've said you love me.
But I’m not so sure.
It just doesn’t feel
Like it felt before.
My feelings for you
Seems to have faded
I think about leaving,
But then I’m not ready.
I’m not sure how I feel.
My love is unsteady.
Lost Chance
My mind keeps going back to that look in your eyes
How you gave me a chance but I passed you by.
I didn’t think that you and I would click.
But now I realize that I was too quick to
Pass up the happiness I could have had with you.
Then one day, I saw you again.
I wanted to talk you. I was too late.
Just my luck. Just my fate.
I could only sit down and cry
Watching you walk by with another guy.
Lost Chance
My mind keeps going back to that look in your eye.
How you gave me a chance but I passed you by.
I didn’t think that you and I would click.
But now I realize that I was too quick to
Pass up the happiness I could have had with you.
Then one day, I saw you again.

Just my luck. Just my fate.

Watching you walk by with another guy.
Child Fears
The child awakens in fright
Of the shadows
They're playing tricks on her sight
She runs to Daddy in tears.
Daddy holds her and calms her fears.
Daddy’s arms are like a nest.
His heartbeat and voice
Bring the child to rest.
The shadows fade.
She's no longer is afraid.
Now back to bed child. Good night.
I Promise You
Give me just one chance
To show you how I feel.
Despite what you might think,
I promise you, my love is real.
I’m definitely not like those other guys
Who try to woo you with their lies.
I won’t leave you feeling used.
I won't leave you with your heart bruised.
I won’t leave you feeling shame
Like those guys who think love is a game.
Give me just one chance to prove how I feel
I promise you, my love is real.
Dream Girl
She's comes into my dreams
And there she stays all night
In my arms, I hold her tight.
When we’re together,
nothing else matters,
just her and me.
When she’s next to me,
it’s like heavenly bliss
when I taste her kiss
she’s in my dreams late at night.
And there she stays till morning light.
Arm Wrestling
It started the moment the needle went into my left arm.
I sat there waiting while Desi went in to get her vaccination. My arm itched to the point of annoyance. Luckily that only last for a minute, then it was fine. Or so I thought. We stopped and bought cheesesteaks for lunch, then headed home.
It was probably around 1:00 in the afternoon when I started noticing the side effects. My arm started itching again. Itching profusely. I tried not to scratch, but it was so unbearable. I decided to perhaps rub it rather than scratching. That's when I noticed the warm lump that began spreading down my arm. Then my arm became hot and inflamed. I knew a trip to the ER was in order. Desi immediately got on the phone to 911 but before she could dial, it was too late. My arm fell to the floor and started flopping around. Desi just stared at it dumbfounded, but then screamed when the arm jumped up and grabbed my leg, trying to pull me down to the floor and attacked me. I tried to struggle with the arm but it was just too wild. Desi was sitting there getting frantic as she watched the ordeal. The wild hand suddenly grabbed me by the throat. Desi yelped and woke up. She looked at the time on her iPhone, sighing, relieved that it was just a dream...
Or was it?
She closed her eyes to try to get back to sleep when I shift. She opened her eyes to see my arm going across her torso. And she screamed!
The arm wasn't attached to me.
Goodbye
Please stop saying I love you
Because I know it’s not true.
I’m tired of all the lies,
That’s all I get out of you.
The love I once felt is gone
And I know I’m not the one
You’re thinking about at night.
I know you likely won’t cry
When I’m telling you goodbye.
But frankly, neither will I.
We both know this is the end.
An Absurd Fairytale
Someone’s been sleeping in my bed, Poppa bear said. And our beds too Mama replied and Baby, standing at the foot of his bed said, “And look! There she is now!”
“Junior, get the roasting pit ready,” said Poppa Bear. Goldy heard Poppa and sprang upright in bed, afraid for her life. “Oh please don’t eat me,” Goldy pleaded with the three bears. “But we’re hungry,” the baby bear whined. Goldy then had an idea how to save her life and feed the hungry bears too.
“I’m hungry too! That little bowl of porridge just didn’t cut it. I know. I’ll buy us all a pizza!”
So Goldy and her three new bear friends waiting for the pizza to arrive. Moments later, the pizza arrived.
"Here we are," said the delivery guy, "A nice pepperoni and ham pizza with extra pineapple."
"Wait a minute," said Mama in a surprised voice, "Who's the nut that ordered the extra pineapple?"
Sitting at the end of the table, Goldy shyly raises her hand.
"Pineapple on Pizza?!" Growled Poppa Bear, "Throw her in the barbecue pit!" "Yeah!" Agreed Baby Bear, Lets make a pizza topping out of her!"
Quickly, the pizza guy grabbed Goldy by the hand, "Don't worry fair maiden. I'll save you!"
The two ran out of the Bears condo and jumped to his 67 Mustang and sped away.
Meanwhile, back at the condo, the 3 bears decided not to chase after them. They were too hungry and decided to just have the pizza for dinner.
"Pineapple on Pizza," Poppa Bear grumbled, "How absurd."
