The Ocean and People

Come, walk with me

through the streets of an ocean town

we'll stroll down the boardwalk

and I'll show you what I see

We'll look at the sky reflected by the water

and the boats sailing the waves

and we'll wonder: just what swims below?

whats there where we can't see?

Because the sea reflects the sky

shielding its contents from view

much like people reflect each other

hiding their true thoughts behind a two-way mirror

Strolling through an ocean town

or through an ocean of people

all you'll see is a reflection of the outside

but at least I can always look to the sky
