Coffee And Dreams
"Sorry to drop by your home without a head's up." Janet said as Mitch led her into his mansion.
"You have no need to apologize my friend." Mitch smiled. "We both work for Hugh, and we've fought alongside each other. My home is always open to you."
Janet smiled ear to ear as Mitch led her to the living room and offered her a seat on the couch. Janet graciously accepted and looked up at her host.
"I actually have a fresh pot of coffee ready to go. How do you take yours?"
"I like a little coffee with my cream and sugar!" Janet laughed. "Thanks again for your kindness Mitch."
Mitch smiled and headed into his kitchen for the hot beverages. Moments later he was back with two steaming mugs of coffee. He gave Janet one, then sat beside her on the couch.
"So yes, my team and I have found ourselves in some interesting dreams lately. Before this dream where we all joined you in a fight against Leftover (this dream was in this short story: https://theprose.com/post/467594/team-janet-vs-team-sic), we also shared a dream about being in a veterinary waiting room (thanks to this chapter, a now canon short story: https://theprose.com/post/458260/filler)."
"So besides yourself, Rick, Cerissa and Essie had the same dreams too?"
"Indeed." Mitch smiled. "So in your recent dream adventure, all of us were truly there supporting you. And we will do that again in the real world anytime you need us."
"You have no idea how much your support and friendship means to me Mitch. If you and your crew ever need help, say the word and I'll be there for all of you too."
"I have no doubt that you will, and your assistance is appreciated and welcome as well."
"By the way, I know who was responsible for infecting you and the others back in the city (in this book's original arc: https://theprose.com/post/409854/more-surprises). I have some news about that."
