Sometimes I Sit and Wonder...
Sometimes I sit and wonder what it would be like to live in a cloud. Would your house grow holes on a hot summer day from the scorching heat of the sun? Would it grow wet and soggy during the wetter days as it filled with the clamor of falling rain? Would I be freezing my lips off while carolers roam the streets spreading Christmas cheer down below?
I think of these things and grimace, thinking I could never endure them all, but then my thinking turns sunny as I come up with a solution to each: I'd set up a hammock on the hot days, to keep from falling through the cumulus floor; I'd wear a poncho in the soggy times and enjoy the sound of rain; I'd make hot cocoa 'round the festive season and curl up in a blanket.
But then it hits me. It's all well and good, enjoying the seasons up yonder until I catch some bird poop to the face.
