Love Departed

You see a part of me just won't let go. A part of me is telling me to keep fighting for you. It's a sense of fear, that I won't find anyone better. I fear that I won't find what I see in you, in anyone else.

There was just something about you that caught my eye. You had a way with words. You knew what to say, how to say it and when to say it.

But as much as I wanted you, just in return as much as I craved for you I realized this love of mine was eating me alive. It destroyed me, turned me into someone unrecognizable.

Now don't get me wrong, this love of mine was the greatest paradise anyone could ever find. But there's always a little hell to bring you back to reality, there's always a little reality to bring you back to reality.

And what you're left with is the darkness, the... after effects of a love departed.
